Medically underwritten bulk annuities (MUBA)

\ˈmɛdəkli\ \ˈʌndərˌrɪtən\ \bʌlk\ \əˈnuɪtiz\

A bulk annuity contract completed after applying medical underwriting to more accurately reflect the mortality of the individuals covered by the contract.

Usually the insurance company providing the medical underwriting service will also become the counterparty to the insurance contract, meaning they are highly incentivized to obtain an accurate measure of the longevity risk.
