Morbidity

\mɔrˈbɪdəti\

Morbidity refers to the state of being sick or disabled, and to the incidence or prevalence of sickness or disability.

The morbidity rate is the rate of incidence or prevalence of disease/disability. In analyses of pension plan data it is common to consider those who retired on grounds of disability/ill health separately from those who retired normally.
